Aloha!

Well, it is official...I have a job offer from Aloft Hotels.

They are currently in the final building stages of a hotel right by Sky Harbor Airport. The hotel is now slated to open September 24th. I am REALLY excited to be part of the opening team of another hotel. I had a great experience with the hotel in Glendale, AZ back in the day.

I am not 100% sure of the specific work I'll be doing, but I do know that a job offer will be in my mailbox sometime this week. I assume I'll be working on some level at the Aloha Desk; that is what they/we call the front desk...How fun!? I have met several people that are on staff already and I feel that working there will be fun.

Getting back in to a routine can not come soon enough!!! I look forward to the days of exhaustion and just vegging out with Friends and Seinfeld. There is also a sweet lunch bag at Fry's that I've had my eye on. I will be purchasing that this weekend to celebrate.

Aloft is a fairly new in the land of hotels. They are a vision of W Brand hotels and in the Starwood family of hotels. I miss my hotel discounts. I am not sure what the discounts are. Hopefully they are as good as my Marriott discounts were. I know I'll be working full time...so I suppose I'll just have to share the wealth. I assume they'll have a Friends and Family rate option.

In other news, my limp is nearly gone!! WOO HOO!! I am still unable to wear heels with out a more significant limp; However, yesterday I was finally able to go down a flight of stairs without stopping at every damn step! I am quicker on my feet but I will not be running anytime soon.
